TP-Link VDSL
Modem Configuration Guide
1. Log in to your modem
Open a web browser and type 192.168.1.1 into the address bar. When prompted, log in using the password: admin (yes, it’s that simple). If prompted, select your correct region and time zone — this helps keep everything in sync.
2. Switch to the right mode
Click on the Advanced tab up the top and head to Operation Mode. Make sure the mode is set to DSL Modem Router Mode; if it’s not, switch it over and hit the Save button.
3. Reboot and reload
When prompted, select Yes to reboot. Once the progress bar hits 100%, don’t rush—it might take a few extra minutes to fully reset. If it doesn’t reload automatically, refresh the page. Your should be brought back to the login screen.
4. Log back in
Once you’re back on the login page, log back in with admin as the password.
5. Enter your internet details
Click on Basic at the top, then go to the Internet tab on the left. Enter the following details:
ISP List: Set to Other
DSL Modulation Type: Set to VDSL
VLAN Tag: Tick the box to enable
VLAN Tag: Enter 900 (this option appears only if VLAN is enabled)
Connection Type: Set to PPPoE
Username & Password: Enter the details we provided you
6. Get connected
Once everything’s up and running, you’re good to go. Connect your devices to Wi-Fi and use the supplied QR code for an easy setup. No need to type out a password—because let’s be honest, no one has time for that.
You’re all set! Enjoy your connection.
Troubleshooting Guide
My internet isn’t working. Now what?
First, double-check that all cables are securely plugged in and that both your modem and router are powered on. If everything looks right but you still can’t connect, it might be time to call our Customer Help team for backup.
Why is my Wi-Fi weak in some areas of my home?
Walls, floors, and big furniture can block Wi-Fi signals, and everyday devices like microwaves and cordless phones can cause interference. Try moving your router to a more open space or consider a Wi-Fi extender to boost coverage.
