Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) is responsible for operating Australia's largest gas and electricity markets. AEMO is also responsible for; power systems including the National Electricity Market (NEM) and the Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM). The NEM encompasses the power system in Australia’s eastern and south-eastern seaboard whilst the WEM overseas the Western Australia market.
