Setting up BBT SIP

On your TP-Link Archer VR600V

1. Log in to your modem

Open a web browser then type 192.168.1.1 into the address bar and hit enter. When asked, log in with admin as the password—yes, it’s that simple.

2. Find the telephony settings

On the lefthand menu, click Telephony, then select Telephone Numbers. Next, hit the + Add button on the top right of the screen.

3. Enter your SIP details

Fill in the following:

  • Telephony Provider: Other

  • Phone Number: Use your provided username—usually your phone number without the leading zero (e.g., 35000000).

  • Registrar Address: Use the provided proxy/registrar, which will be one of these three:

    • communitytelco.com.au

    • vicwest-communitytelco.com.au

    • bendigobanktelco.com.au

  • Authentication ID: Same as your phone number (without the leading zero).

  • Password: The one we gave you (no guessing games here)

Then click Advanced and fill in or double check these details:

  • Registrar Port: 5060 (leave as is)

  • SIP Proxy: Use the same proxy/registrar from the step above.

  • SIP Proxy Port: 5060 (again, leave it be)

  • Outbound Proxy: Depends on your state:

    • VIC/TAS/SA/NT: vic-sbc.ssaas.aapt.com.au

    • NSW/ACT: nsw-sbc.ssaas.aapt.com.au

    • QLD: qld-sbc.ssaas.aapt.com.au

    • WA: wa-sbc.ssaas.aapt.com.au

  • Outbound Proxy Port: 5060

  • Register via Outbound Proxy: Leave this ticked—we need it!

4. Hit Save and you’re done!

Click Save, and that’s it! You’re ready to roll 😎

Troubleshooting Guide

My internet isn’t working. Now what?

First, double-check that all cables are securely plugged in and that both your modem and router are powered on. If everything looks right but you still can’t connect, it might be time to call our Customer Help team for backup.

Why is my Wi-Fi weak in some areas of my home?

Walls, floors, and big furniture can block Wi-Fi signals, and everyday devices like microwaves and cordless phones can cause interference. Try moving your router to a more open space or consider a Wi-Fi extender to boost coverage.

How do I upgrade my internet plan?

Easy! Just call us at 1300 228 123 or visit your SmartCentre online. We’ve got a range of speed tiers and packages, and our team can help you find the best fit.
