Hybrid Fiber Coaxial
Quick Set Up Guide
1. Plug it in
First things first, connect your modem to a power point using the supplied cord. Then, connect the modem to the NBN connection box onsite via the WAN port. The NBN box is a small black box that you’ll find connected to a wall by a fixed white cable somewhere onsite. Sometimes these can go missing; if you can’t find your NBN box, reach out to us so we can help!
2. Power up
Turn on your modem and the NBN box and wait for both the WAN and Internet lights to turn a solid blue. This could take up to 20 minutes, so you might want to grab a coffee while you wait.
3. Check the lights
Make sure the WAN and Internet lights on the modem and the NBN box are solid. If the lights are blinking or red, check out our troubleshooting guide below for some tips.
4. Get connected
Once the lights are solid, you're good to go! Connect your devices to Wi-Fi and use the supplied QR code for an easy setup. No need to type out a password—because let’s be honest, no one has time for that.
You’re all set! Enjoy your connection.
Troubleshooting Guide
My internet isn’t working. Now what?
First, double-check that all cables are securely plugged in and that both your modem and router are powered on. If everything looks right but you still can’t connect, it might be time to call our Customer Help team for backup.
Why is my Wi-Fi weak in some areas of my home?
Walls, floors, and big furniture can block Wi-Fi signals, and everyday devices like microwaves and cordless phones can cause interference. Try moving your router to a more open space or consider a Wi-Fi extender to boost coverage.
