Your Bendigo Telco Bill, Decoded.
Let’s break down your bill.
We’ve designed our invoices to be as straightforward as possible, but if you’ve ever squinted at a line item and thought “huh?”, this guide’s for you. Let’s break it down 👇
👤 Addressee Information
This bit shows who the bill is for: name, billing address, etc. If you’re looking for your account number, this is where you can find it! If anything looks off, give us a shout and we’ll get it sorted.
💳 Charge Summary
Here’s your billing cycle at a glance:
Previous Balance: What you owed last time.
We Received: Payments you made.
Credits & Adjustments: Any changes or corrections.
Balance Carried Forward: What’s left after all that.
Current Bill: Charges for this cycle (GST included).
For example:
Previous balance = $60
You paid = $40
We applied a $20 credit
➡️ Balance carried forward = $0
🧾 Total Bill Balance
This is the grand total: your carried forward balance + current charges. This figure includes GST, so will be slightly more than the total of the itemised list of charges on the next page. The due date is here too, so you know when to pay by.
🕵️♀️ What do all these fees mean?
In addition to the expected charges on your bill, you might see some additional fees or credits applied to your total. Let’s take a look at what they all mean:
🔧 Adjustments
These are manual tweaks to your account like credits, corrections, promotional discounts, or account changes. This can come from errors, changes to your plan mid-billing cycle, or any refunds or charges that are applied outside of the usual service fees. Basically, anything that doesn’t fit neatly into your regular charges.
🌍 International Roaming Data
Used mobile data while overseas? That’s what this is. Roaming isn’t usually included in standard plans, and you’ll be charged either per roaming pack or by usage, depending on your plan and preference. You can learn more about our International Roaming costs here.
📱 Mobile/Hardware Repayment Plan
Are you currently paying off a phone, modem, or other device? This is your monthly instalment, and you will be charged this figure over the contract period (usually 24 months). It’s listed separately from your plan or any additional charges.
💸 Credit for Cancelled Plans
Did you switch or cancel a plan recently? You might see a credit for the unused portion. We only charge for the time you actually used the service.
🚪 Early Termination Fees
Ended a contract early? These fees cover remaining device payments, cancellation penalties, or both… depending on your agreement.
📊 Excess Data
If you went over your data allotment this month, you’ll see a charge here. Bendigo Telco charges $10 per 1GB of data over the top of your plan, in 1GB blocks. Each time the 1GB block is exceeded within that billing period, you will be automatically charged $10 for an additional 1GB of data.
For example: Your plan includes 10GB, you used 12.5GB → $10 for every extra 1GB block → 1 block each when you hit 10GB, 11GB and 12GB = $30 additional charge.
You will receive notifications when you hit 50%, 85% and 100% of your allocated data. You can also move your plan up or down at any time.
🧾 GST: What’s taxed and what’s not?
First page bill total: GST included. What you see is what you pay.
Itemised services: GST excluded. Shows base prices before tax.
This format gives you a clear overview upfront, with detailed breakdowns if you want to dig deeper.
💰 Credits
Credits reduce what you owe. You might see them for:
Billing errors or overcharges
Service issues or goodwill gestures
Plan cancellations or changes
Look for CR next to the fee. If it’s your final invoice and you’ve got a credit on your account, we’ll refund it to you.
